What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is practical, organised, and takes pride in maintaining a high standard across our homes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance around our care homes.
- Responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues promptly.
- Completing basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating, and general repair work where competent.
- Carrying out regular checks of the building, equipment, fixtures, and fittings.
- Identifying potential maintenance issues before they become bigger problems.
- Keeping communal areas, bedrooms, gardens, and other areas of the home well maintained.
- Supporting the team with planned preventative maintenance.
- Helping ensure the environment is safe, clean, comfortable, and suitable for, to detail,
- Strong organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Good communication skills and a friendly approach.
- A reliable and flexible attitude.
- The ability to work respectfully within a care home environment.
- Relevant maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or trade qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
- Experience working in a care home, healthcare, hospitality, housing, or facilities environment would also be beneficial.
