Be(come) the Experience – Make our brand impossible to scroll past in the UK. We're Kapten & Son. With over 250 Kaptens, we work every day to become Europe's leading D2C lifestyle brand. Our products accompany people through their everyday experiences – and you'll make sure the Kapten & Son brand shows up on Instagram and TikTok in the UK in a way that stops thumbs in their tracks.

Your Kapten Experience includes:

  • Create and publish content: You shoot, edit, and post for Instagram (Feed, Reels, Stories) and TikTok, fast, at a high standard, and always with a clear understanding of the UK Brand Strategy. Every post has a reason.
  • Drive channel strategy: You own the UK strategy for Instagram and TikTok, set the goals, build the plan, hit the numbers. Social isn't a silo here; it's the beat that amplifies everything else.
  • Catch trends and make them ours: You spot trends early and translate them into content that feels like Kapten & Son, not like everyone else using the same sound.
  • Build and nurture community: You show up in comments, DMs, and mentions, as a human, not a brand bot. You know who matters in our community and build those relationships with intention.
  • Understand and act on performance: You track, analyse, and act, no screenshots into decks, but reports that actually shape what happens next.
  • Co-create paid social content: You build video and static assets designed for ads from the ground up. You know the difference between organic content and creative that converts in paid, and you give our central performance marketing team exactly what they need to win.

What's already in your bag:

  • 2–4 years of social media management experience for a brand, with a track record you can actually point to.
  • A portfolio or channels you can show, Instagram and TikTok are non-negotiable.
  • Confidence on camera and behind it: you can shoot, direct, and edit without a production team holding your hand.
  • Fast editing skills, CapCut, Premiere, or similar: high quality, delivered quickly.
  • Copy instincts that make people stop scrolling.
  • Data literacy: Meta Business Suite and TikTok Analytics are tools, not obstacles.
  • A self-managing, structured working style, even when everything feels like a priority at once.
  • Genuine passion for lifestyle, design, or everyday aesthetics, it shows, and you can't fake it.
  • Fluent English; German skills are a plus.

What awaits you:

  • Flexibility: Hybrid working in London with real ownership from day one.
  • Cologne included: 3 days per month at our HQ on the Rhine, a modern office with a barista, subsidised lunch, and a view of the water.
  • Crew Love: Regular team events.
  • Growth: Personal development opportunities and quarterly feedback conversations.
  • Perks: Corporate benefits and staff discounts on the full Kapten & Son range.

Ready to join the crew? Being a Kapten by heart means showing up for each other, acting with passion, and making your mark – in the feed and beyond. If you're ready to bring the Kapten & Son brand to life in the UK and create content that's impossible to scroll past – Carolin looks forward to hearing from you. Be the experience.
