Start: immediately
Location: London (hybrid)
Your Kapten Experience includes:
- Content creation and publishing: You shoot, edit, and post for Instagram (Feed, Reels, Stories) and TikTok quickly, at a high level, and always with a clear focus on the UK brand strategy. Every post has a purpose.
- Driving channel strategy: You are responsible for the UK strategy for Instagram and TikTok, set goals, build the plan, and drive the numbers. Social is not a silo for us, but the rhythm that enhances everything else.
- Discovering and adapting trends: You recognise trends early and translate them into content that feels like Kapten & Son, not like everyone else using the same sound.
- Building and nurturing community: You are present in comments, DMs, and mentions as a person, not as a brand bot. You know who matters in our community and consciously build these relationships.
- Understanding and utilising performance: You track, analyse, and act; no screenshots in decks, but reports that truly influence what happens next.
- Contributing to paid social: You create video and static assets built from the ground up for ads. You know the difference between organic content and creative that converts in paid, and you provide our central performance marketing team exactly what they need.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience in social media management for a brand, with results you can genuinely discuss.
- A portfolio or channels you can showcase; Instagram and TikTok are mandatory.
- Confidence in front of and behind the camera: you can shoot, direct, and edit without a production team behind you.
- Quick editing skills, CapCut, Premiere, or comparable: high quality, delivered quickly.
- Copy instinct that stops people in their tracks.
- Data competence: Meta Business Suite and TikTok Analytics are tools, not obstacles.
- Independent, structured working style, even when everything seems to have priority.
- Genuine enthusiasm for lifestyle, design, or everyday aesthetics – this is felt and cannot be faked.
- Fluent English; German skills are a plus.
What to expect from us:
- Flexibility: Hybrid working in London with real responsibility from day one.
- Köln included: 3 days per month at our HQ on the Rhine – modern office with barista, subsidised lunch, and a view of the water.
- Crew Love: Regular team events.
- Growth: Personal development offers and quarterly feedback discussions.
- Perks: Corporate benefits and employee discounts on the entire Kapten & Son range.
- Volunteer Day: A paid day for your volunteer work.
