As a Quant Developer at Kappa Lab, you will be working within a trading team, playing a pivotal role in translating quantitative trading strategies into operational algorithms and production‐grade code. You will be working at the forefront of the rapidly evolving world of cryptocurrency trading. This position demands a blend of problem‐solving skills, adaptability, and collaborative teamwork. If you possess a strong background in programming, excellent analytical skills, and an interest in the crypto markets, we want to hear from you! We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with the opportunity to be based in either our London or Dubai office.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement high-performance trading algorithms and systems for cryptocurrency markets, ensuring they align with quantitative strategies and market‐making objectives.
- Optimize code for speed, reliability, and scalability to handle high-frequency trading environments and large-scale data processing.
- Analyze market data, liquidity patterns, and order book dynamics to improve algorithm efficiency and pricing models.
- Improve reporting and analysis of the existing system's performance.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience with data analysis and manipulation using libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or similar tools.
- Good knowledge of probability, statistics, and quantitative modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and trading concepts (e.g., order types, liquidity provision).
- Excellent problem‐solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‐paced, team‐oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Rust and/or Cython.
- Experience in high-frequency trading (HFT), market making, or algorithmic trading in crypto or traditional finance.
