As a Quant Trader at Kappa Lab, you will be working within a trading team, playing a pivotal role in managing and improving existing quantitative trading strategies, plus researching and prototyping new opportunities. You will be working at the forefront of the rapidly evolving world of cryptocurrency trading. This position demands a blend of problem-solving skills, adaptability, and collaborative teamwork. We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with the opportunity to be based in either our London or Dubai office.
Responsibilities:- Managing and optimizing existing trading strategies to enhance performance, reduce risks, and adapt to market conditions.
- Researching, developing, and prototyping new quantitative trading strategies for digital assets across centralized and decentralized exchanges.
- Analyzing large datasets of market data, order books, and on-chain metrics to identify trading opportunities and inefficiencies.
- Conducting backtesting, simulation, and performance analysis of strategies using historical and real-time data.
- Monitoring live trading operations, including risk management, position sizing, and intervention during volatile market events.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Python, for data analysis, strategy prototyping, and automation (experience with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy).
- Good knowledge of probability, statistics, and quantitative modeling techniques.
- Deep interest in and understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, DeFi protocols, and trading dynamics.
- Ability to handle complex, high-volume datasets and derive actionable insights under time pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for identifying and mitigating risks in fast-paced environments.
- Direct experience in quantitative trading, market making, or high-frequency trading.
- Experience with additional programming languages such as Rust and/or Cython.
