Role Summary
As a Senior HR Advisor, you will deliver a proactive, commercially focused HR partnering service, supporting managers with complex employee relations matters, coaching effective people management, and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR practices, employee experience, and service delivery focused HR partnering service.
Reporting to the HR Manager and working as part of the HR Pathways team, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, build trusted relationships with stakeholders, and play an active role in shaping a modern, inclusive and efficient HR function.
The role requires regular travel to meet stakeholders and support our colleges across the UK.

What You\’ll Bring To The Role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, with sound judgment in managing complex ER matters.
- Demonstrable experience in a partnering or senior advisory HR role, with the ability to influence, coach, and challenge managers effectively building credibility at all levels
- Strong analytical skills, with confidence using HR data and insight to inform decisions.
- Comfortable learning and adopting new digital tools, including AI‑powered platforms, to enhance efficiency and leverage autonomy.
- Interest in or experience of HR process improvement, digital tools, or automation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Proactive, organised, and detail focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience within a commercial or education environment, with exposure to a unionised setting desirable.
Qualifications
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above desirable), with evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
