We are looking for an Engineering Sessional Tutor to join our team. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Engineering who can contribute to the delivery of International Year One modules. Experience teaching core engineering disciplines, including Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Electrical and Electronics, and Engineering Design/CAD, and/or Mechanics is highly desirable. The ability to support students from diverse educational backgrounds and engage learners through effective, student-centred teaching will be highly valued.

As a Sessional Tutor at Kaplan International College London, you will join our successful team and provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience of teaching post-16 students (a recognised teaching qualification would be an advantage).
  • A student-centred approach and the ability to plan, facilitate and review engaging learning experiences that enable all students to achieve and flourish.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of international students in transition to studying Higher Education in the UK.
  • Demonstrable experience of using digital technologies, including AI, to enhance learning, assessment and student engagement, together with a willingness to embrace innovation.
  • The ability to develop and continually enhance innovative learning materials that support active, inclusive and engaging learning.
  • A postgraduate qualification is desirable; however, a strong first degree and/or relevant professional experience will also be considered.
