Position: Module Tutor in Criminology Research Methods

We are seeking module tutors with a Criminology Research Methods background to join our dynamic online faculty. In this role, you will lead and support the learning of our online students, working in close collaboration with our university partner, the University of Essex. Subject Areas:

  • Quantitative Research Methods
  • Qualitative Research Methods
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • IPA analysis

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong academic background and practical experience in one or more of the subject areas listed above.
  • Experience teaching and assessing at postgraduate level (Level 7) within the UK Higher Education sector.
  • Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online meeting software).
  • Good interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with colleagues, tutors, and students in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • UK residency (reside in the UK for at least 183 days per tax year).
  • Note: We cannot consider candidates on a student visa (Tier 4).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral qualification in a related subject.
  • Experience teaching online.
  • Familiarity with UK Higher Education and Quality Assurance standards.
  • Relevant Higher Education teaching qualification.
  • Fellowship recognition by AdvanceHE.
  • Experience supervising UG and PG dissertations.
