Senior Teacher

Overview

We are now looking for a Senior Teacher with TELFQ status (e.g., DELTA) to work closely with and support the Director of Studies in managing the delivery of our English programmes. You will focus on ensuring that the school has the appropriate teaching and learning resources to deliver the curriculum to the highest level as well as supporting with testing, induction, student reports and attendance. Another key area of responsibility will be in staff development through observation, mentoring and CPD delivery. The role will afford extensive opportunities to contribute to the continued development of the school\’s academic provision.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Studies in managing the delivery of English programmes and ensure appropriate teaching and learning resources to deliver the curriculum to the highest level
• Assist with testing, induction, student reports and attendance
• Develop staff through observation, mentoring and CPD delivery
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the school\’s academic provision

Qualifications

• TEFLQ Status – For example via a DELTA or equivalent
• Experience in administration work (preferably in an ELT environment)
• Experience in developing learner autonomy
• Experience in effective student counselling and tutorials
• Experience in teaching a variety of levels
• Experience in teaching exam preparation and/or business classes
