I am currently looking for an accomplished Buyer to procure raw materials and components for an established Manufacturer based in the Crewe area. You will aim to meet manufacturing schedules, helping to reduce costs whilst not affecting the quality.
Key Responsibilities will include – but not be limited to:
- Ensuring purchased parts are to optimum value, required quality and delivered on time
- Purchasing raw materials and components to achieve the production schedule
- Developing appropriate plans to achieve objectives
- Monitoring suppliers, ensuring corrective action as needed. Planning, holding and reporting on regular supplier meetings
- Taking an overview of the raw materials process and MRO distribution component spend
Ideally CIPS / MCIPS qualified already, you will have a proven background in a similar role, with the ability to showcase your achievements, ideally with a strong understanding of the purchasing lifecycle for castings / raw materials.
