The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.

As part of the skilled team, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of an integral business function, which in turn, will make a positive impact on the organisation. As a Skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will be tasked with assembling patient critical equipment to the medical/pharmaceutical industry including a variety of pharmaceutical capital equipment.

Your role includes:

  • Using static machinery, battery powered tools including drills and general hand tools
  • Working in a safe manner, achieving a high level of quality
  • Notifying the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
  • Completing projects successfully and following instructions from your manager
  • Working with other teams to minimize delays and meet high standards
  • Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company
  • Some travel to work at client sites across the UK, to fit and install the products
  • Liaising with the tradesman and contractors at client sites as required

What they are looking for:

  • The ideal candidate should come from a strong mechanical background, preferably be familiar with working to very high standards in the aerospace, nuclear, medical, or pharmaceutical sectors
  • It is essential to have previous mechanical assembly experience
  • A City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent is ideal but not essential
  • You will be required to travel to do ad-hoc installation work and will require a valid drivers licence (company vehicle is supplied for work purposes)
  • Experience in working with and understanding detailed drawings
  • Previous experience of working to processes and defined quality systems
  • Working to high levels of accuracy and standards of finish
  • To be able to work independently and as part of a team
