The Role
We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Northamptonshire site on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining, fault finding, and improving a wide range of production and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding, servicing, and maintenance of:
- Production machinery and control systems
- PLC and computer-controlled systems
- Plant services and electrical distribution systems
- Process systems
- Safety systems
- Electrical distribution
Project Work Includes
- Designing simple electrical control systems
- Producing electrical drawings
- Ordering components and materials
- Building and installing control systems
- Commissioning new or modified equipment
Skills and Experience Required
- Recognised electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, BTEC, C&G, or NVQ Level 3)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with production plant systems, including:
- PLCs
- VSDs and soft starters
- Weighing equipment
- Sensors and process control systems
Desirable Experience
- PLC programming and software experience, particularly Mitsubishi or Siemens
- Multi-skilled background with mechanical and pneumatic experience
- Inspection and testing qualifications
- Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry
