Key Responsibilities
- Carry out live electrical testing on power conversion and energy systems
- Follow detailed test procedures and specifications to validate product performance
- Diagnose faults, record findings, and assist with root cause analysis
- Ensure all testing activities comply with electrical safety standards and regulations
- Work closely with design and production teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation and test records
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate electrical test equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing department
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as an Electrical Test Engineer within electrical, manufacturing, or power systems environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical testing methods, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Electrical engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC, or equivalent
- Comfortable working with live electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
