Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out live electrical testing on power conversion and energy systems
  • Follow detailed test procedures and specifications to validate product performance
  • Diagnose faults, record findings, and assist with root cause analysis
  • Ensure all testing activities comply with electrical safety standards and regulations
  • Work closely with design and production teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation and test records
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate electrical test equipment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing department

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working as an Electrical Test Engineer within electrical, manufacturing, or power systems environments
  • Strong knowledge of electrical testing methods, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Electrical engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC, or equivalent
  • Comfortable working with live electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
