KAP Technical are working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to strengthen its production department by recruiting experienced Electrical / Mechanical Technicians. This opportunity would suit candidates with hands-on electrical and mechanical experience gained within manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, engineering, or similar practical environments. Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential.

The Position:

Working within a busy production facility, you will be involved in the assembly and manufacture of specialist electrical and mechanical equipment. This is a workshop-based role requiring a practical, hands-on approach and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Key Duties:

  • Building and assembling electrical and mechanical equipment to specification
  • Following engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and production documentation
  • Working to production deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in accordance with company procedures
  • Supporting the wider production team to achieve operational targets

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous practical experience within electrical, mechanical, assembly, maintenance, or engineering environments
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings or wiring diagrams would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

Salary & Benefits:

  • 38-hour working week
  • Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00 midnight
  • 30-minute unpaid break
  • Pay rate Β£17.36 per hour depending on experience
  • Overtime paid at 1.33x for the first 4 hours and 1.5x thereafter
  • 36 days annual leave
