KAP Technical are working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to strengthen its production department by recruiting experienced Electrical / Mechanical Technicians. This opportunity would suit candidates with hands-on electrical and mechanical experience gained within manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, engineering, or similar practical environments. Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
The Position:
Working within a busy production facility, you will be involved in the assembly and manufacture of specialist electrical and mechanical equipment. This is a workshop-based role requiring a practical, hands-on approach and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Key Duties:
- Building and assembling electrical and mechanical equipment to specification
- Following engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and production documentation
- Working to production deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in accordance with company procedures
- Supporting the wider production team to achieve operational targets
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous practical experience within electrical, mechanical, assembly, maintenance, or engineering environments
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings or wiring diagrams would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Salary & Benefits:
- 38-hour working week
- Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm β 12:00 midnight
- 30-minute unpaid break
- Pay rate Β£17.36 per hour depending on experience
- Overtime paid at 1.33x for the first 4 hours and 1.5x thereafter
- 36 days annual leave
