We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with strong fabrication skills to join a well-established engineering team within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly, fitting, and maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Fabrication of components using MIG and TIG welding, cutting, and grinding techniques
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering schematics
- Carrying out fitting and alignment tasks to tight tolerances
- Working on a range of equipment including conveyors, platforms, pipework, and support frames
- Conducting inspections and ensuring components meet required specifications
- Assisting with installation, testing, and commissioning on-site when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong fabrication skills including welding (MIG and TIG), cutting, and metalwork
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
