The Opportunity KAP Technical is recruiting experienced Vehicle Technicians to support a critical fleet maintenance project based in Leconfield, East Riding of Yorkshire. Working as part of a skilled and supportive engineering team, you will help maintain the operational readiness, safety and regulatory compliance of stored and sustainment fleet vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified technicians seeking a stable contract, weekly pay, potential overtime and the opportunity to extend beyond the initial six-month term. Key Responsibilities * Carry out diagnostic inspections, routine servicing and complex mechanical repairs across designated fleet platforms. * Complete rectification and remedial maintenance ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections. * Undertake vehicle upgrades, modifications, rework and defect rectification. * Investigate and resolve faults identified during inspections and quality examinations. * Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site Health & Safety procedures and relevant technical standards. * Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and vehicle safety. Essential Requirements To be considered, candidates must be able to provide evidence of the following: * Relevant Qualifications: NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. * Technical Experience: Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance. * Relevant Background: Experience in fleet, commercial vehicle or ex-Forces/military vehicle maintenance would be highly advantageous. * Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance. E-ppl will sponsor and manage the clearance process and cover the associated costs.
