An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Cosmetic Scientist to join the Molton Brown R&D team on a12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of Molton Brown products, the ability to work independently, and a proven track record of delivering results to support innovation and product development.
In this role, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience managing new product development projects.
- Partner with Cosmetic Scientists to provide accurate data and sound scientific rationale to guide decision-making.
- Support elements of technology development by clearly communicating project status, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Anticipate and resolve formulation challenges, leveraging the expertise of colleagues to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Build capability of learning to lead projects and make recommendations where needed in project meetings. Work closely with the cosmetic scientist, evaluate results and identify new learning plans. Communicate results both orally and in writing to the manager and key members.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate technical mastery over a broad range of formulations and provide conclusions and recommend next steps.
- Sets standards of quality of work, develops sound efficient technical conclusions. Takes personal ownership for assigned work and demonstrates confidence in data.
- Additional capabilities will include; manufacture laboratory batches, carry out stability testing, document technical information
