Were looking for a skilledElectrical Maintenance Engineer to join our production team and help keep our operations running at their best. This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and optimising production machinery with a strong emphasis on electrical installations, fault finding, and PLC monitoring.
What youll do:
- Carry out electrical installations, repairs, and PLC monitoring.
- Complete scheduled cleaning, sanitisation, and washouts of production equipment.
- Inspect, maintain, and replace components to ensure smooth, reliable performance.
- Support production teams to meet filling schedules efficiently and to a high standard.
- Safely handle and transport materials (up to approx. 15kg) as part of daily operations.
- Respond to production demands by prioritising tasks and adapting to changing requirements.
Key requirements
- Setting and tooling changes to bottle filling equipment, bottle sorting equipment, application torque machinery, ink jet coding machinery, cap sorting bowls and elevators, electrical installation, PLC monitoring, electrical repair.
- Sanitising and washing of production equipment. Completing machinery cleaning activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule.
- Maintenance/repair activities coupled with fault finding inspection and component replacement plus electrical. Parts replacement/fault finding and repair.
- Generally aiding production to achieve the filling plans and ensure work is completed in good time.
What youll need
- 5 GCSEs (Grades AC) or equivalent.
- Engineering Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent); HND/Bachelors in Electrical Engineering is desirable.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar industry or discipline.
- Experience with PLC fault finding (Omron/Mitsubishi/Siemens).
- Valid driving licence.
- Ability to work a shift pattern.
- Powered pallet truck licence (preferred).
- Strong manual handling skills and competence with a variety of hand tools.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to share information effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and accountability.
- Dedicated, proactive, and skilled at maintaining high standards while meeting deadlines.
- A collaborative, positive attitude with the ability to work well with others.
