About The Role
As a Strategy Principal Consultant specialising in Change and Transformation, you will help shape and lead our strategic consulting initiatives within Manifesto, guiding clients through complex digital and data transformation projects. Reporting to the Strategy and Innovation Director, you will leverage your expertise in digital transformation frameworks, organisational change, and change management methodologies to help clients achieve measurable outcomes such as increased digital maturity, better platform utilization, and enhanced organisational effectiveness.
Ideally, you will have experience in the Not-for-Profit (NFP) sector, but this role also involves working across sectors like Membership, Visitor Attractions, Higher Education, and related commercial clients. You will address sector-specific challenges and opportunities, ensuring best practices are applied to deliver transformative results.
This role requires understanding macro sector challenges and designing strategies tailored to each client\’s needs. You will collaborate with senior leaders, delivery teams, and sector specialists, ensuring strategic alignment and effective implementation. As a thought leader, you will contribute to Manifesto\’s external presence through speaking engagements, whitepapers, and thought leadership activities. Staying informed about sector trends and issues will bring fresh insights to your work and clients.

Key Objectives
- Strategic Leadership: Deliver transformative strategies aligned with client objectives and Manifesto\’s values, driving improvements in digital maturity and organisational effectiveness.
- Client Impact: Build trusted relationships across all stakeholder levels, ensuring shared ownership of transformation goals.
- Innovation Excellence: Help clients understand the link between data and digital strategy, and advise on emerging technologies like AI and automation.
- Change Leadership: Apply change management methodologies to guide cultural and operational shifts, fostering adoption.
- Sector Insights: Keep abreast of trends and challenges across sectors, integrating this knowledge into your strategies.
- Commercial Growth: Identify growth opportunities and support securing transformation contracts.
- Thought Leadership: Promote Manifesto as a leader in digital transformation through external contributions and speaking engagements.
Key Accountabilities
Client Engagement
- Lead transformation projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcome-focused solutions.
- Manage client roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Establish feedback loops to measure satisfaction and improve services.
- Define success measures with clients to ensure meaningful outcomes.
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Strategy & Innovation Director to shape propositions in digital transformation.
- Provide clarity in complex scenarios, prioritising initiatives for maximum value.
- Utilise Agile, Lean, and traditional project management approaches.
- Contribute to evolving Manifesto\’s transformation frameworks.
- Set strategic direction for design and delivery teams.
- Stay updated on sector challenges and trends.
- Lead cross-organisational transformation initiatives where Manifesto is the lead.
Change and Transformation Expertise
- Leverage knowledge of macro challenges in sectors like funding, governance, and audience needs.
- Design forward-thinking strategies using frameworks like McKinsey, Gartner, etc., considering emerging tech.
- Guide organisations in prioritising effectively and navigating cultural shifts.
- Ensure alignment between strategy, data, and technical implementation.
Team Development
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Facilitate training to upskill in change management and transformation methodologies.
External Representation
- Represent Manifesto as a thought leader through blogs, whitepapers, and speaking engagements.
- Participate in events and conferences to showcase expertise.
- Contribute to marketing efforts with pitches and proposals.
Commercial Growth
- Identify opportunities for expanding client engagements.
- Support business development with compelling narratives for pitches.
- Deliver successful projects to build trust and loyalty.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in digital transformation, especially in digital experience and data strategy.
- Proven knowledge of change management methodologies.
- Expertise in Agile, Lean, and traditional project management approaches.
- Deep sector knowledge in NFP, Membership, Visitor Attractions, and related sectors.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills for engaging senior audiences.
- Ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- High commercial acumen and familiarity with collaboration tools and data systems.
- Experience with emerging technologies like AI and automation.
- Background in supporting proposals and pitches.
- Knowledge of organisational design and operating models.
