The Yard Supervisor is responsible for fertilizer plant operations and inventory. This position is responsible for promoting company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork, shared services, and by following safety policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Mix and blend fertilizer.
- Fill spreaders, tenders, buggies, and nurse trailers.
- Fill NH3 and liquid fertilizers at various Coop sites.
- Load and unload fertilizer.
- Dispatching tender trucks and applicators.
- Assist in stocking, unloading, and forecasting fertilizer.
- Inspect and maintain fertilizer building and yard.
- Maintain accurate inventories.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication.
- Cleaning, maintaining, and servicing of fertilizer equipment.
- Keeps maintenance and inspection records on fertilizer equipment and tanks.
- Responsible for ensuring that the interior and exterior of the shop facility is neat, clean, and is a safe working environment and report to supervisor any issues that may need resolution.
- Clean facility and keep records of cleaning.
- Conduct periodic hazards assessment.
- Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations, responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education, seminars, classes or other job-related education requirements or opportunities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Forklift certification, Valid Driver’s License.
