Position: Technology Engineer – National Highways Area 3 team, Dummer.
Location: Dummer Motorway Compound, Dummer, Winchester Road, Dummer, Berkshire, RG23 7FX.
Employment Details: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week + Overtime, Standby and Call out. Competitive Salary + Car + Benefits. No certificates of sponsorship available.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on highways technology equipment (signs, signals, CCTV, traffic monitoring systems).
- Perform electronic diagnostic checks to identify and resolve faults in highways communications assets.
- Support specific projects by interpreting requirements, applying appropriate methodologies, and developing effective solutions.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and stakeholders to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications while ensuring all health and safety requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Experience in highways technology or similar fields.
- Knowledge and application of current technologies, standards, and best practice related to National Highways Motorway and trunk road communications systems.
- Understanding of National Highways technology systems (display equipment, CCTV, digital storage devices, motorway communications).
- Desire to work collaboratively to find root cause of issues and deliver proactive maintenance approach.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (site visits required across the network).
