We are looking to recruit a Quality Manager to support the Southern Region at Kier, located in Southampton. The position is full‑time (42.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday) and will not sponsor work visas.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pre‑Construction and Operational teams to ensure a right‑first‑time approach in quality management and specification compliance.
- Ensure compliance and operational management in Quality Control Systems, including auditing, risk management, investigations, complaint handling, report writing and quality‑related training.
- Ensure the ISO‑accredited integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) are effectively implemented and monitored.
- Identify opportunities, and implement changes to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify areas of concern and support the contract teams to deliver improvements, analyse the root cause of defects and nonconformities, implement corrective action and update processes with lessons learned.
- Drive improvements in Performance Excellence – always working to be better.
Qualifications
- Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 management system standards.
- Ability to work on own initiative, be proactive, highly organised and display a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Experience in quality management within construction or related industries is desirable.
