KierBAM Joint Venture is seeking a Section Engineer for a redevelopment project at Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard. The role involves supporting site engineering tasks on this MOD facility.
Location & Hours
Location: Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard. Hours: 45 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate setting‑out and dimensional control to ensure construction standards.
- Maintain as‑built drawings and project quality documentation.
- Support the team with technical problem solving and respond to queries.
- Record and test workmanship and materials including drainage, concrete, piling, and brickwork.
- Prepare clear sketches and maintain effective communication across the site.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Hold (or be working toward) a degree in civil engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Have SSSTS and CSCS White PQP/AQP certificates.
- Be working toward or hold Chartership/Incorporation with a relevant professional body.
- Have a collaborative approach and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
- Hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past five years.
- Able to obtain BPSS security clearance (process may take up to eight weeks).
- Able to complete a Government Security Check (SC) Clearance under the Cabinet Office UKSV programme.
- Unable to offer certificates of sponsorship.
