Location and Working Arrangements
This position is based in Falmer and Chatham and is part of the Southern Water team. Remote working is available, with a requirement to be onsite for three days each week. The role is full‑time, 40 hours per week, with possible condensed working, part‑time, or job share arrangements.
About the Role
You will be a Quantity Surveyor within the Commercial team, supporting cost control and value maximisation on water infrastructure projects. This role involves:
- Managing project finances, preparing payment applications and monitoring costs
- Building relationships with subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth financial processes
- Supporting procurement activities and providing commercial evaluations
- Identifying changes and supporting the Change Control procedures
- Ensuring that all contractual notifications are correctly documented
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience with NEC contracts with Target Cost
- Enjoy collaborative working and building relationships across teams
- Have experience in the construction, water or civil infrastructure sectors
- Be comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Have strong communication skills and enjoy working with clients
