Role Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our passionate Professional & Leisure Services department as an MIS Officer. Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful applicant will have outstanding organisational and MIS administration skills. This is a term‑time role working 37 hours per week for 40 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Department with the processing of data during the Business Planning cycle.
  • Create and maintain an accurate course Masterfile for the department.
  • Work closely with cross‑college departments to ensure an excellent student administration service.
  • Have an in‑depth understanding of funding and audit rules as defined by relevant agencies.
  • Understand the College Fee Policy and how it applies to students.
  • Be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of student withdrawals and transfers in line with College policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that timetables are accurately recorded in the system and that students are on the correct registers.

Education & Training

  • GCSE 4–9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths (or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview and, if appointed, achieve this within an agreed timescale).
  • GCSE 4–9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English (or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview and, if appointed, achieve this within an agreed timescale).

Experience

  • Experience of administration in a diverse organisation.
  • Experience of customer service in a diverse organisation.
