Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to deliver coordinated, cost‑effective building services designs for complex high‑value projects. The role is based in Basingstoke and reports to the Technical Director. This is a full‑time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed electrical designs aligned with project briefs and BSRIA stages.
  • Produce coordinated drawings, specifications, and plant schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, BREEAM, and SHE policies.
  • Support inspections, commissioning, and close‑out reporting.
  • Collaborate with design, commercial, and construction teams to ensure buildability and quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical expertise in electrical building services design.
  • Experience with design development, cost‑effective solutions, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to lead and influence within a multidisciplinary team.
