A growing Design & Build fit-out main contractor based in Farringdon is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation within the commercial interiors sector, the business delivers high-profile CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects across London for a range of blue-chip and corporate clients. The Role
- Working closely with the Pre-Construction and Delivery teams, you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from tender stage through to final account.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with cost planning and budget preparation.
- Reviewing tender documentation and subcontractor enquiries.
- Procuring subcontract packages and negotiating costs.
- Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
- Monitoring project costs and financial performance.
- Producing commercial reports and forecasts.
- Identifying value engineering opportunities.
- Supporting the delivery team with commercial and contractual matters.
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Experience working for a main contractor, ideally within commercial fit-out, interiors, refurbishment, or Design & Build projects.
- Good understanding of JCT contracts.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ambitious, motivated, and keen to develop a long-term career.
