An established and growing commercial interiors contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join its team, delivering fit-out, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in commercial interiors, drylining, ceilings, and refurbishment works. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from enquiry through to completion, managing client relationships, pricing works, overseeing delivery, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Projects range from small reactive works packages through to larger planned refurbishment schemes, typically valued between £500 and £50,000.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Act as the primary client contact throughout project delivery
- Conduct site surveys and assess project requirements
- Prepare quotations, estimates, and project costings
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Negotiate contracts, orders, and project variations
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and programme delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and account growth
- Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to support successful project outcomes
Applicants should have proven experience within the commercial fit-out and interiors sector, with knowledge of:
- Drylining and partition systems
- Suspended ceilings
- Plasterboard and MF ceiling systems
- Timber doors and ironmongery
- Office glazing systems
- General commercial refurbishment and interior works
The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial management and project delivery and be confident working independently across multiple projects.
