Pre-Construction Coordinator

Location: Office-based with regular site visits (primarily London)

Type: Full-Time

We're looking for a proactive and organised Pre-Construction Coordinator to join a growing team delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or pre-construction who wants to develop their technical, commercial, and client-facing skills within a collaborative environment.

You'll play a key role in supporting the pre-construction process from initial enquiry through to project handover, working alongside experienced professionals and building the skills needed to progress into a Pre-Construction Manager role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing cost plans and estimates using standard templates.
  • Carrying out site surveys and quantity take-offs.
  • Coordinating subcontractor enquiries and reviewing quotations.
  • Assisting with feasibility studies, buildability reviews, and project risk assessments.
  • Preparing license approval documentation and coordinating stakeholder submissions.
  • Developing and maintaining pre-construction programmes.
  • Supporting client presentations and tender submissions.
  • Coordinating project handovers to delivery teams.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a pre-construction, estimating, or quantity surveying role within construction or commercial fit-out.
  • Ability to produce cost plans and complete quantity take-offs.
  • Understanding of construction methods and commercial interiors.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Bluebeam Revu or Microsoft Project is advantageous.

Desirable

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with JCT contracts.
  • Knowledge of landlord approval and license processes.
