As a Data Analyst within the Panel Performance & Business Intelligence team, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our data products, insights, and operational analytics engine. You will support the lifecycle of analytical models—from design to productionization—working closely with the rest of the panels performance & business intelligence team, Kantar’s Global Delivery Centres, data & software engineering team and technology teams to operationalize data models and support the panel solutions infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimise existing models for reliable day-to-day operation.
- Analyse model outputs to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with Global Delivery Centres (GDC) to productionize data models and support BI needs.
- Collaborate with software engineering and technology teams to help build core panel solutions infrastructure.
- Perform statistical and exploratory analyses to generate actionable insights.
- Prototype machine-learning models and algorithms.
- Help develop an agentic approach for the whole team and its stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers on data/statistics tasks.
- Communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Transform and prepare data using ETL tools such as DBT.
Ideal Skills & Capabilities
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and curiosity.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R or similar analytical languages.
- Understanding of ML fundamentals and MLOps concepts.
- Experience with ETL tools (DBT preferred).
- Ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset for cross-functional and global teamwork.
Preferred Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in dealing with data related technologies including database queries, programming, data mining/wrangling, analysis and reporting.
- BEng or master’s in computer science, Data Science or any Engineering field.
- Interest in data, statistics, machine learning and data analytics is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development along with logical and critical thinking.
- Comfortable working with datasets, applying basic to intermediate statistics (from mean, median, quartile to histograms, KNN, K-means, Bayesian logic).
- Being able to read, write and query using SQL.
- Experience using PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong experience using statistical computer languages (Python, Scala, R, MATLAB) is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- Diligent and attentive to detail, have a strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with different teams in the company.
