Role Overview

As HR Director, you will serve as a strategic leader and enabler on all people matters across Europe while also contributing to projects across Kantar Media as required. Partnering with Finance Business Partners, Centers of Expertise (COEs), and a team of HRBPs, you will shape and execute people strategies that translate business challenges into impactful initiatives. This role requires a mature approach, transformation experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. You will partner with senior stakeholders to drive organizational design, workforce planning, and cultural change, while enabling HRBPs to deliver at pace and with impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior HR leader, setting direction on people priorities for Europe in alignment with global strategy.
  • Partner with, and coach HRBPs to ensure consistent delivery of people plans and high-quality support to business leaders.
  • Represent HR at the Media Division leadership level in Europe.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and cultural transformation.
  • Manage relationships with Works Councils and other employee representative bodies, ensuring compliance and effective engagement.
  • Use HR and financial data to provide insights that shape workforce planning, capability development, and decision-making.
  • Drive major transformation and change programs, building organisational capability and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee the resolution of complex employee relations (ER) matters, ensuring fair and commercially sound outcomes.
  • Lead cyclical performance activities (e.g., pay review, bonus, goal setting), ensuring process consistency and coaching leaders on effective delivery.
  • Partner with COEs to strengthen talent management, leadership development, and succession planning across the region.
  • Role-model collaborative working across regions and functions to drive smarter, standardised ways of working.

  • Commercial acumen with the ability to link people strategy to business performance.
  • Strong analytical skills, using data and evidence to inform decisions.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and employee representatives.
  • Resilience with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing immediate priorities with long-term goals.
