We’re currently undergoing the largest technology transformation our $4bn business has ever seen. As a cloud‑native organisation (Azure), we’re modernising and integrating our platforms to respond faster, smarter and at greater scale. A critical part of this transformation is Digital Twins — a bold, experimental platform that simulates consumer behaviour at scale, enabling Kantar's products to test scenarios and predict outcomes before they happen. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll join a very small, agile, start‑up‑style team building it from the ground up. You’ll move fast, test ideas quickly, learn from setbacks and iterate. It’s a demanding challenge, led by industry experts, where your thinking and engineering choices will directly shape the outcome.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and building robust data pipelines, platforms and databases that support AI‑driven products
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists and product partners to shape how Digital Twins is built
  • Running experiments, testing ideas and building working demos as the product evolves
  • Improving and optimising data processes, tooling and cloud‑based architectures
  • Creating monitoring and visualisations to track system health, performance and progress

The skills & experience you’ll bring:

  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a good understanding of business needs
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data‑driven applications
  • Confidence working with Python, SQL and modern data engineering tools
  • A solid understanding of databases, ETL processes and data architectures
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also welcome)
  • Enjoyment of working in small, fast‑moving teams with a high level of ownership
  • Clear communication skills and a desire to keep learning and growing

What’s in it for you:

  • Flexible hybrid working
  • 25 days leave, 2 days paid for volunteering and life event leave
  • Competitive salary and bonus (bonus dependent on role)
  • Company pension
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Healthcare options
  • Wide range of flexible benefits
