- Main Scope and Purpose
- Ensure rooms are cleaned and set up to exceptional standards in line with Brand Standards.
- Deliver a guest experience that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Ensure all periodic cleaning is completed on time and in accordance with Brand Standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Room Cleaning & Presentation
- Clean rooms in line with Brand Standards.
- Keep trolleys neat and tidy at all times.
- Replace towels, soap, toilet rolls, stationery, and other specified items.
- Change linen in departure and stay-over rooms, ensuring no rips, stains, or creases.
- Remove rubbish appropriately and separate waste as directed.
- Remove dirty linen and place down the linen chute.
- Prioritise cleaning departure rooms unless instructed otherwise.
- Report all maintenance faults promptly.
- Clean VIP rooms with extra care and attention.
- Clean priority rooms immediately unless directed otherwise.
- Check vacant rooms as requested.
- Undertake tidy-ups and bed status changes as required.
- Daily Operations
- Complete all daily and weekly jobs to the required standard.
- Carry out spring cleaning when requested.
- Use water and electricity sparingly; switch off lights when leaving rooms.
- Work quietly to minimise disturbance to guests.
- Follow lost property procedures strictly.
- Maintain hotel security by keeping doors closed while working.
- Handle guest queries politely and efficiently; never ignore requests.
- Take full responsibility for issued floor keys and follow sign-in/out procedures.
- Sign in and out of duty in the Housekeeping Office.
- Leave service areas tidy at the end of each shift.
- Contribute to a positive team environment with courtesy and professionalism.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance; wear correct uniform.
- Use cleaning materials and equipment correctly and safely.
- Report suspicious packages or individuals immediately.
- Uphold hotel regulations at all times.
- Respect and properly use equipment; report faults immediately.
- Health and Safety
- Comply with safe working practices under the Health and Safety Acts.
- Be aware of workplace hazards and complete required checks.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing as provided or recommended.
- Report building, plant, or equipment defects promptly.
- Training
- Assist in training and developing colleagues.
- Attend training courses as required.
- Communication
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Work harmoniously with clients, co-workers, and managers.
- Company Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Follow Group and Company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report deficiencies in systems or equipment that may affect service delivery or safety.
- Use work equipment and PPE correctly and in line with training.
- Report issues or training needs to your Line Manager or via the incident reporting system.
