Description of Role

Job Title: People & Culture Business Partner

Location: Cleeve Road, Evesham

Job Type: Permanent

Reporting into: People Director

Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00

Main purpose of the role:

The People & Culture Business Partner plays a key role in shaping and delivering a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture. Acting as a strategic partner to leaders and teams, this role influences key people initiatives across engagement, wellbeing, performance, and recognition. By using data-driven insights and fostering trusted relationships, the People & Culture Business Partner helps ensure the organisation is a great place to work where people thrive.

Job Responsibilities:

Use people data and insights to inform strategic decisions, identify trends, and influence improvements across engagement, performance, and wellbeing.

Culture & Engagement

  • Champion a culture aligned with organizational behaviours, fostering a “good place to work” environment.
  • Lead on employee engagement initiatives, including survey design, analysis, action planning, and follow-through.
  • Support and coordinate internal events such as Town Halls, and engagement campaigns.
  • Drive and lead an effective Staff Consultation Committee.

Communication & Recognition

  • Manage colleague communications, ensuring key messages are clear, timely, and aligned with company tone and values.
  • Oversee recognition programs including ABCD Awards, ensuring they are inclusive, impactful, and celebrated across the business.
  • Organise company-wide events that connect and inspire colleagues.
  • Develop and lead wellbeing strategies, resources, and campaigns that support mental, physical, and emotional health.
  • Manage Occupational Health (OH), coordinating referrals and supporting employees and managers through the process.
  • Manage health surveillance activities in accordance with health and safety obligations and risk assessments.
  • Oversee and support leave of absence processes (e.g., maternity, paternity, and extended leave), ensuring a positive and compliant employee experience.
  • Manage the health cash plan and private medical insurance programs.
  • Absence & Leave Management
  • Monitor and manage employee absence & attendance in line with policy, using data to identify trends and take proactive action.

Performance & Development

  • Lead the delivery of the Personnel Performance and Development Framework (PPDF), ensuring it is embedded, understood, and effectively used across the organisation.
  • Coach and guide managers through performance conversations, reviews, and development planning.
  • Promote a continuous improvement and feedback culture to support colleague growth.
  • Contribute to the development and communication of reward and benefits offerings.
  • Support annual reward processes.
  • Ensure initiatives reflect employee needs, industry trends, and business values.
  • Oversee the canteen facilities (vending)
  • First line of contact for bus service provider.

People Data & Insights

  • Maintain and analyse HR data to identify trends and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Produce regular reports on key metrics (e.g., absence, engagement, wellbeing) to inform leadership and shape future initiatives.
  • Perform any other related duties/roles as assigned, within your scope of practice, the company considers appropriate.

  • Experience working with people analytics or HR system dashboards

Qualifications:

CIPD Level 5 (minimum) Level 7 or willing to work toward
