Hours: Red shift Sunday-Tuesday (Alternate Wednesdays) OR Blue shift: Thursday-Sunday (alt Wednesdays) 09:00am – 21:00pm
Main purpose of the role: The main purpose of a Despatch Operative/Picker is to accurately select and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the customer orders are fulfilled efficiently. Pickers have a crucial role in supply chain by ensuring the orders are prepared correctly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to pick cases of product from one pallet and build it onto another.
- Adhere to health and safety rules and responsibilities.
- Be flexible and able to work in different areas of despatch completing different roles.
- Can work with technology i.e. tablet or pick scanner and understand how to operate them.
- Ensure you are cleaning as you go to maintain a safe area.
- Complete temperature checks to ensure product is within temperature tolerance.
- Report any issues to the shift manager.
- Able to complete stocktakes at the end of shift.
