The Company
Axis Global Freight Services is a courier and freight company providing courier and express parcel services alongside international freight by air, ocean and road, with customs clearance and value‑added logistics. They work with retailers, e-commerce businesses, manufacturers and other shippers, combining local service from Frimley with an international partner network.
The Role
You will drive new business and grow key accounts across both courier and freight. You will own the commercial relationship from prospecting and tendering through to contract negotiation and service delivery, working closely with operations, pricing and customer service to deliver profitable, reliable solutions.
What to expect
- Develop and execute a sales plan to hit revenue, margin and account growth targets for courier and freight products.
- Prospect, qualify and convert new business across courier/express parcel and air, ocean and road freight.
- Prepare tender and RFP responses, commercial proposals and negotiate rates, SLAs and contract terms.
- Manage pipeline and forecasts in the CRM, and provide clear, timely reporting.
- Lead account management to retain and expand business, including upsell of value‑added services.
- Work with operations to ensure solutions are deliverable, compliant and profitable.
- Monitor market and competitor activity and identify new sectors and trade lanes.
What we are looking for
- 3‑5+ years commercial sales experience with demonstrable experience across both courier/express parcel and freight forwarding.
- A proven track record of winning new business and growing key accounts.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, and an understanding of pricing and margin drivers for parcel and freight.
- Experience with CRM systems, confident presentation skills and excellent stakeholder management.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally internationally.
