We have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated graduate to take their first step into the exciting world of public relations as a Graduate Account Executive with the UK’s market‑leading legal sector communications consultancy based in London. Our client is a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial PFR consultancy that provides reputation counsel across the legal sector to major law firms, advisory businesses, legal tech providers and industry bodies. The firm advises on Corporate Communications, Crisis PR and Litigation PR, helping clients protect and promote their businesses, market perception and value.
We are looking for a tenacious graduate eager to build a career in PR within the legal sector. The ideal candidate is highly creative, self‑starter, proactive and excited to contribute to an entrepreneurial business’s growth story.
In the role you will be:
- Writing press releases, news stories, articles, case studies and product pieces
- Pitching press releases and feature ideas to national, regional and trade journalists via phone or email
- Handling stories with challenging subject matters
- Developing journalist contacts across key trade, national and broadcast media
- Maintaining regular client interaction as a key liaison, including developing editorial themes with lawyers
- Building relationships with clients’ Marketing and Communication teams
- Arranging interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists
- Monitoring media coverage and reporting results to the team and clients
- Delivering analytic reports on social media traffic, engagement and follower figures
- Serving as a reliable point of contact for clients and a trusted information source
- Supporting the Senior Management Team in researching new business opportunities, pitches and marketing initiatives
- Immersing yourself in the team and brainstorming fresh ideas for PR campaigns
Skills Required
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong spelling, grammar and proof‑reading skills and a creative flair for engaging copy
- Social media‑savvy, understanding its role in reputation management
- Presentation skills that enable clear, concise communication to teams and journalists
- Strong interpersonal skills – approachable, friendly, empathetic and able to relate across all levels within the agency, with clients and media
- Excellent telephone manner, confident and upbeat when pitching stories
- Time‑keeping and the ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight media deadlines and agency pressures without compromising quality
Qualifications And Experience
We are looking for a graduate with a degree in PR, law, languages, journalism, history, social studies, politics, economics or English literature. Relevant work experience or an internship in a PR agency, press office, law firm or fast‑paced media environment is a distinct advantage.
