Role Overview:
The Business Manager will lead commercial and operational activities, driving business growth and operational excellence for Kanegrade’s B2B ingredients division. This is a key leadership role, reporting to the Managing Director, with responsibility for sales, supply chain, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to grow sales and market share in the food ingredients sector.
- Manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team (sales, production, logistics, customer service).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key B2B clients and suppliers.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance in line with company targets.
- Ensure operational efficiency across procurement, inventory, and order fulfilment.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and industry regulations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in a commercial or operational management role within food ingredients, food manufacturing, or a related B2B sector.
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and manage key accounts.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and reporting.
- Knowledge of supply chain, procurement, and production processes.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
- Familiarity with food industry regulations and quality standards.
Desirable:
- Experience in a mid-sized company environment (20–100 employees).
- International business exposure.
