About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Manager will take end-to-end responsibility for delivering talent acquisition across the business working to agreed hiring plans and supporting continued growth, with a strong focus on high-quality hires within a fast-paced, multi-site environment. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing recruitment directly while working closely with hiring managers to understand requirements, prioritise roles and ensure we attract and hire the right people aligned to our Values. You will maintain a regular and visible presence across the business, building strong stakeholder relationships, with a particular focus on London, establishing strong connections in the local market and wider networks to support hiring delivery.

Location: Banbridge (with regular travel to London & wider UK)

Key responsibilities

  • Recruitment Delivery
    • Own recruitment delivery across the business in line with the headcount growth plans, personally managing a portfolio of roles and ensuring key positions are prioritised and delivery is achieved effectively and in a timely manner across the Talent Acquisition team.
    • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, align expectations and drive momentum.
    • Lead and deliver the recruitment process, remaining actively involved in hiring at all levels as required, ensuring consistency, quality and a positive candidate experience.
    • Implement proactive sourcing strategies, building pipelines for key and hard-to-fill roles and reducing reliance on agencies.
    • Ensure a smooth and effective handover from recruitment into onboarding, supporting a positive and well-managed new starter experience.
  • Quality & Improvement
    • Review and refine job and person specifications to ensure that they clearly reflect role scope.
    • Drive continuous improvement in how the business attracts and hires talent, introducing stronger and more effective approaches to sourcing, assessment and candidate engagement while constructively challenging existing practices where needed.
    • Coach and support hiring managers to build capability, embedding consistent and high-quality selection practices.
  • Sourcing & Attraction
    • Manage key recruitment agency partnerships.
    • Support the development of early careers and talent pipelines, ensuring a structured approach to building future capability across the business.
    • Work in partnership with Marketing to ensure recruitment activity strengthens the employer brand and supports attraction of the right talent.
    • Represent the business at key careers events.
  • Leadership & Development
    • Manage day-to-day activity across the Talent Acquisition team.
    • Line manage and develop the Talent Acquisition team providing support, guidance and coaching to drive strong individual and team performance.
    • Monitor workload and recruitment demand.
    • Maintain continuous professional development.
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Track and analyse recruitment performance against agreed KPIs, identifying risks and taking action to address them and improve outcomes.
    • Maintain recruitment systems with accurate data and clear pipeline visibility.
    • Provide regular updates and insights to the Director of People & Culture and the wider People and Culture Team on recruitment performance and progress.

Person Specification

Essential

  • 5+ years experience delivering end-to-end recruitment, across a range of roles and disciplines up to senior level within a fast-paced environment including managing multiple roles and priorities independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of the London recruitment market and broader understanding of the UK market.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers and driving hiring activity.
  • Proven experience reducing reliance on agencies through direct sourcing and pipeline building.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence behaviours.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and keeps others on track.
  • Demonstrates sound commercial judgement, understanding the cost, quality, value and delivery impact of recruitment decisions.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and ATS/HR systems.
  • Willingness to travel between NI and the UK on a regular basis.
  • Full valid driving licence with access to a car for business use.

Desirable

  • Third-level education in HR, Business or related discipline.
  • CIPD (Level 5) or equivalent professional development within Talent Acquisition.
  • Experience using structured assessment tools.
  • Recruitment experience within a construction, engineering or an MEP environment including experience sourcing for site-based operational roles and technical or specialist roles.
  • In-house recruitment experience.
  • Experience managing or leading a Talent Acquisition team.
  • Coaching capability and contributing to Talent Acquisition function development.
