We are seeking a General Operative based in Banbridge to be part of our growing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist fabrication operatives with the preparation of steel and pipework, including cutting, measuring, and material handling.
- Support workshop activities to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
- Operate a variety of workshop machinery and equipment (onsite training provided).
- Handle, move, and store materials safely within the workshop environment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area in line with company standards.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe and productive workshop environment.
- Work collaboratively as part of the fabrication team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and senior operatives to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Undertake any other duties, within reason and capability, as directed by the Production Supervisor.
QUALIFICATION
- Desirable: Forklift Licence.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- Essential: Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, or construction environment.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
- Awareness of Health and Safety practices within a workshop environment.
- Desirable: Previous experience working with stainless steel pipework.

- Essential: Able to work effectively on own initiative as well as under supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong commitment to work.
- Comfortable performing a range of manual handling duties within a workshop environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills within a fabrication environment.
