About the Role
The HR Assistant delivers a range of operational HR activities across the employee lifecycle, ensuring people processes, HR systems, records and documentation are managed accurately, efficiently and consistently. The role is responsible for coordinating onboarding activities, maintaining employee records, supporting payroll, employee relations and learning and development administration, and providing a responsive first-line HR service to employees and managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- HR Administration, Systems and Compliance
- Manage and maintain accurate and up to date employee records across the HR system and other relevant files, including employee lifecycle changes, absence records and contractual information, ensuring data is processed in a timely and accurate manner to support payroll, compliance and management reporting requirements.
- Preparation of data for and production of reports and metrics for the People and Culture team and manager meetings on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Provide administrative support across employee lifecycle and employee relations processes, including arranging meetings, preparing documentation and taking minutes where required.
- Recruitment, Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Deliver and coordinate onboarding and induction activities for new employees including ensuring the Company induction information is up to date and accurate.
- Support employee engagement and retention through conducting new hire check-in meetings and assisting with quarterly meetings as well as helping to implement agreed actions.
- Assist with recruitment administration as and when required.
- Payroll, Benefits & Time Management
- Monitor clock card completion on the time and attendance system and follow up with line managers where information is missing or incomplete thus supporting timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Administration of employee benefits including the Company health cash plan.
- Employee Lifecycle & Learning Support
- Organising training, recording and maintaining training records and monitoring learning completion for all employees.
- Supporting absence, probation, performance management and employee relations processes through accurate administration and effective coordination, ensuring actions are tracked and followed up in a timely manner with employees and managers.
- Provide guidance within policy parameters and seek advice from the HR Manager when necessary.
- Support the wider People & Culture team with projects and general ad hoc administration support, e.g. publishing new or updated policies to the relevant locations and producing tailored HR reports.
QUALIFICATIONS | Essential
- CIPD Level 3 (have or be working towards).
- Experience in using HR systems and MS Office.
ABILITIES & SKILLS | Essential
- Strong administration and organisational skills, underpinned by excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, as part of a team and work on own initiative.
- IT literate and proficient in the use of MS office.
