Kane Contracts is a dynamic and expanding civil engineering company based in Co. Tyrone. Our works include Renewable energy infrastructure, New Build Developments, Public Realm Schemes, Fuel Forecourt works and various other works. We currently have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join our expanding team who are progressive, hardworking and excited about the direction of our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial management of projects
  • Estimating and compiling tender submissions
  • Measurement from drawings/specification for material quotations
  • Site measurement as required
  • Submission of cost variations for agreement
  • Site measures and valuations on live projects
  • Sub-contractor and supplier procurement
  • Attending site meetings as required

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • 3+ years post qualification experience in a civils background is desirable, but all levels will be considered
  • A full driving licence
  • A good understanding of the NEC family of contracts
  • An excellent ability to measure from drawings and specification to compile quantities
  • Sound IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, with measurement software experience desirable
  • An excellent work ethic, and contribute as part of a team, or work on their own initiative

The role will be based at our office in Galbally, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, with occasional visits required to sites in ROI or GB. An excellent salary package with benefits is available to the right candidate, commensurate with experience.
