Job Title
- Quality Systems Manager
- Location: Preferably UK (Cambridge or Reading) - Other location in Europe possible
Responsibility and Authority
- Design, deliver and manage our quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, (2015 and then transition to 2026), and company requirements.
- Responsible for quality document administration and control, including Kandou’s Document (DMS) and Issues Management Systems (IMS).
- Responsible for internal audit of the QMS, support supplier/customer audits and manage the relevant corrective actions/preventative actions (CAPA).
- Champion customer/legislative driven quality, environmental and ethical initiatives e. g. Responsible Business Alliance, Cyber Security, Green House Gas emissions, etc.
- Own & present quality metrics, and improvement plans, to management team.
- Owner of all internal Quality processes e. g. change management, 5S audits, organisational risk management, etc.
- Own and communicate Kandou’s quality message to suppliers, employees, and customers.
- Work with commercial, engineering, and operational functions to prioritise and agree on a roadmap of activities for internal and external expectations regarding quality goals.
- Define and specify the implementation of quality standards, methods, metrics, and procedures for continuous improvement assuring product quality and business performance, including relevant KPI’s.
- Candidate must demonstrate leadership, communication and influencing skills and is able to communicate with ease with customers, senior management and internal stakeholders.
- Required Experience
- 5+ years’ experience of working with, and implementing, Quality Management Systems within the semiconductor and/or technology industries.
- Track record of defining quality processes & procedures.
- Administration of document and issue management systems.
- Practical experience of data collection, pareto & data analysis / trending.
- Practical experience of continuous improvement and structured problem solving.
- Experience of ISO9001 implementation, maintenance and certification. Equivalent knowledge of IATF16949 and/or ISO14001 is desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools.
- Experience in effective collaboration with design, development and manufacturing organizations, particularly as relates to design and product realisation processes.
- Required Skills
- Excellent verbal / written communication, interpersonal and functional team building skills.
- Working understanding of statistical decision-making methods including process . capability analysis/MSA and Do E. Ability to use statistical analysis tools a plus.
- Knowledge of 6 Sigma methods and techniques, process control systems, process capability, measurements systems analysis, FMEA, corrective & preventive action, and continuous improvement programs.
- Competent with Office Products, e. g. Visio, Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Able to plan & conduct/support internal, supplier & customer audits.
- Self starter with the ability to identify issues, work independently, meet the challenge and effect a solution.
- Practical understanding/application of quality design toolset e. g. FMEA, APQP, etc.
- Expert knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and it’s application in a technology organisation
- Required Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and/or relevant vocational experience
