The Opportunity
Are you a skilled Engineering Technician with experience in a manufacturing environment? We\’re looking for a proactive and reliable individual to join a global leader in ingredient and premix manufacturing. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company with over 40 years of industry experience, providing engineering support across essential production and facility operations.
You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to ensure smooth operations and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Perform reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance on critical equipment
- Support production teams and respond to technical issues efficiently
- Prioritise work orders and communicate with stakeholders and supervisors
- Maintain accurate records through a CMMS system
- Manage contractors and ensure compliance with PTW & RAMS
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Carry out project installations to current UK regulations
- Ensure excellent housekeeping and maintain food hygiene standards
What We\’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar (or time‑served equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment (ideally food production)
- Experience with CMMS systems and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong technical and problem‑solving abilities
- Knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, and fault finding (advantageous)
- IOSH or Legionella qualifications (desirable)
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
