About the Role:

As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining control systems to improve efficiency and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Driving improvements using advanced controls and automation technologies.
  2. Executing process and control enhancements, prioritizing work based on plant needs.
  3. Performing routine maintenance, backups, and upgrades of control systems.
  4. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Corporate standards (ATEX, COSHH, etc.).
  5. Supporting corporate strategies and departmental targets (TPM, LEAN).

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a controls/automation role within FMCG or food manufacturing.
  2. Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or advanced training with 5+ years of experience.
  3. Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise in automation hardware/software, PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal & Simatic Manager preferred), HMI, VFD, servo-motion control, and DC motor controls.
  4. Knowledge: Strong understanding of PLC control system architecture and field control devices.
  5. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and troubleshoot reliability issues in factory automation systems.
