The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Fitter & Assembler to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Aylesbury.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who takes pride in precision assembly and high-quality workmanship.
This is a late shift position , offering an attractive 15% shift premium in addition to base salary.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fitting and assembly of components to a high standard.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, including Third Angle Projection drawings .
- Follow technical instructions from engineers, supervisors, and team leaders.
- Ensure all work meets strict quality and specification requirements.
- Carry out in-process and final quality checks.
- Operate machinery and production equipment safely when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Comply fully with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Support continuous improvement activities across the production area.
- Assist in other production duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong background in mechanical fitting or assembly.
- Ability to confidently read engineering drawings (including
Third Angle Projection ).
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Positive, reliable and hands-on attitude.
