Performance Responsibilities
- Cooperates with building principal
- Cooperates with athletic director
- Develops rapport with coaching staff within the school
- Organizes coaching staff
- Develops positive relationships with participants, student body, faculty, parents, community, officials, news media, and opponents
- Employs appropriate conduct during practices and games
- Attends league, conference and WVSSAC meetings
- Participates in activities that foster growth and development
- Motivates staff and players toward desired goals
- Commands respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior and language
Coaching and Related Area
- Develops high caliber and quality instruction
- Teaches fundamental skills
- Handles athletic injuries
- Cares for equipment
- Supervises participants and disciplines team appropriately
- Designs quality organization of practice sessions
- Designs pre-season planning
- Supervises managers and other support personnel

- New TEACHERS hired after July 1, 2012 must have completed the three hour training session provided by Kanawha County Schools and complete the On-line Concussion Awareness Course through the KCS Staff Development Site (Cost of the course will be $15.00)
