Kanadevia Inova is hiring a Mechanical Technician for our Waste to Energy (WtE) plant in Slough.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of mechanical repairs on all plant process systems and equipment, plan details of assigned jobs
• Inspect and lubricate all plant equipment routinely and make necessary adjustments to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently
• Conduct risk identification, analysis and assessments
• Give work direction and instruction to other team members
• Attend HSE inspections, audits, assessments, and meetings, and report promptly any HSE infringements

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship, HNC/D qualification in engineering desirable
• Experience in a maintenance or engineering role in a 24/7 heavy process environment involving gearboxes, conveyors, steam raising plant, valves, rotating plant and hydraulic systems
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Team leader skills, fault diagnosis and problem solving, good at planning and management, safety focus
• Excellent communication (read, write and verbal) skills in English Language
