The Position Manager is responsible for monitoring, validating, and reporting all market and operational exposures across commodity and certificate portfolios, ensuring accurate P&L reporting, strong controls, and seamless collaboration with Front Office, Back Office, and Finance.
Main Responsibilities:- Track market, operational, and transactional exposures and deliver accurate daily/weekly P&L, position summaries, and exposure analyses.
- Monitor and validate all commodity marketing activities, ensuring accurate trade capture, correct contract interpretation, and full position reconciliation across systems and registries.
- Ensure compliance with internal risk policies, operational procedures, and regulatory frameworks, supporting audits and strengthening governance.
- Improve transparency and efficiency through data quality checks, automation of reporting and reconciliation, and continuous process optimization.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Traffic, IT, and Finance to maintain data integrity, streamline workflows, and support consistent cross‐functional alignment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in position management, middle office, risk control, or trading support within commodities or energy markets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, exposures, and P&L components.
- Familiarity with commodity (e.g. renewable gas, certificates, PoS and GoO systems), or environmental markets is a plus.
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and proficiency with data tools and reporting systems.
- Language skills: Fluent in English.
