We are recruiting a Plant Attendant for a 1 year Fixed Term contract, based at our Westfield plant in Fife. Working in a small maintenance team, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the plant. Daily duties and responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, eliminating or mitigating hazards.
- Operating various equipment (e.g., Front-Loading Shovel, Forklift, Telehandler) and supporting plant repairs and emergency responses.
- Conducting regular plant inspections, reporting defects, and maintaining housekeeping and cleaning standards.
- Managing COSHH materials, minimising waste, and ensuring proper storage and handling of stock and equipment.
- Reporting accidents, near misses, and suggesting improvements to Plant Operating Instructions and Risk Assessments.
Qualifications
- Education: O Level equivalent English and Maths.
- Experience/qualification in operating mobile plant preferred.
- Familiar with HSE standards, procedures, and requirements and control plant operations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must have the ability to react quickly and with good judgment during emergencies.
